In 2011  decided to train in the NY School of Yoga and connected with the Khrishnamacharia I TKV Desikachar tradition. Between 2012 -2015 I lived in Asia and trained in in Thai Yoga Massage, Chi Nei Tsang in different schools. My classes and my practice are nourished by this physical and energetic understanding of the body. I owe a lot to the Iyengar tradition , Body Mind Centering, and Yoni Shakti  for the Prenatal teaching. Whenever I have the chance, I love to attend dharma talks in buddhist temples, studying Yoga Philosophy or travel to the source. These wisdoms and experiences support me to teach yoga and in life in general.

J’ai découvert le Kundalini Yoga en 1999. Etant dans des études de théâtre, j’avais l’envie d’essayer le yoga pour me sentir plus présente dans mon corps. Mais cette expérience forte devient tout de suite bien plus que cela, elle m’ouvre à une profonde connexion à moi-même, à une sensation nouvelle de moi, de l’autre et de la Vie. En 2004, après plusieurs années de formation, je commence à l’enseigner.

J'ai commencé le yoga dès l’âge de 8 ans, en suivant les cours de mon grand-père, lui-même professeur de yoga.  Mais c’est finalement à l’autre bout du monde, à Vancouver, que j’ai découvert ma propre voie en yoga et que je me suis formée. Dans mes cours je souhaite transmettre la vision holistique de la discipline et donner l’occasion à mes élèves de se lancer des défis tout en respectant leurs limites.

Je fus immédiatement conquise par l’apaisement et les bienfaits que sa pratique de yoga lui apporta dans sa vie privée comme professionnelle. Lors d’une expatriation en Inde en 2008-2009 je découvre l’approche intégrale du Yoga de Satyananda. Curieuse, je nourris connaissance et pratique personnelle de différentes traditions telles que Sivananda, Iyengar et la Pleine Conscience.

 In 2007 she studied a 200hr Hatha Yoga teacher training course and then a 100hr Anusara Yoga training course. She continued with a 300hr Yoga teacher training, Rishikesh, India.  

  

Her love for kids motivated her to study 300hr Diploma-Yogakids International U.S.A. and 320hr Specialization Rainbow Yoga Teacher Training- Tuscan, Italy.  

  

She is organizing and teaching international, Yoga Teacher training courses (200hr and 95hr Yoga kids) certified by Yoga Alliance U.S.A. and Yoga Professionals UK.  

In January 2014 she founded the Yoga Family Violet Alignment system. In 2015, her first collection of folktales “Yoga and folktales” was published by the Academy of poetry and folktales in Athens, Greece. In 2021 Yoga tales was published in the English language by Ontime books. 

  

In 2018, Foteini and Sophia Kritikou created the SoFo project, peer teaching in yoga practices for empowerment and self-regulation development which is a program related to Yoga for special needs and was awarded the second prize by the EPR organization. (2019).

Bringing Yoga to the center changed my relationship with my body and life. My body became my guide, a place of coming back home and discovering more about myself, of deeper connection with others.

 

I am passionate about embodiment, connection between body-mind-soul, and sexuality as a means of self expression, personal growth and connection to life force.

 

I am a yoga teacher certified with Sampoorna Yoga India and life coach with Center for Transformational Presence. I have also undertaken trainings related to tantra and sexuality (Tantra Institute of Integrated Sexuality), embodied coaching, women wellness and Yoga (Uma Dinsmore).

 

My yoga classes are relaxing and energizing. They are based on Hatha and Kundalini styles. I also like to combine with other forms of conscious movement. An invitation to practice from a place of softness and enjoyment of the body.
